Sometimes what a child’s soul says to their parent:
“I see you, do you see me?”
Take time to be still and to watch your children free from judgment, criticism, or the need to correct.
Take time to see them for who they are.
Perfect and imperfect. Beautiful and learning, just like you.
Being a parent is a challenge for a reason. Children are a blessing and come with much to teach us. They come with just the right combination of knowing how to melt our hearts and also what buttons to push so that we may grow into better human beings. They provide us with plenty of opportunities to practice love, kindness, patience, and compassion. And in return they give us their open mind and open heart to make our impression on. It can be tough being a parent, but remember it can be tough being a kid sometimes too.
In your journey as a parent keep in mind that at any time you can ask God to help you in your parenting. Sometimes this is the strength we need to know we are not alone.
God please help me to be a good parent and to honor who my children are as they grow wholly into themselves.
Thank you God for my beloved children.
My kids and I just returned from an AWESOME 10 day vacation! We traveled from Wisconsin across Lake Michigan on the Lake Express Ferry and drove inland to Morrice, Michigan where I am from. We got to enjoy family and friends and make new memories. It was priceless!
We also got to go and visit Nama, my Mom, at the cemetery where she is buried. We brought a gift for her, a hummingbird wind chime to hang on the hook behind her gravestone. It was a special way for us to include her on this trip and to make a memory of her for my children. Little did I know she would show up.
After my son hung the wind chime and we spent some time at her gravesite we piled into the car and drove through the cemetery towards the exit. As we approached the exit I prompted my kids to say goodbye by saying, “Goodbye Nama, we love you.” They repeated it without missing a beat, “Goodbye Nama, we love you.” But then in that very moment something unexpected happened. My Mom spontaneously appeared to me through my mind’s eye and I could hear her say “I love you too.” Then she also blew a kiss to my children and without missing a beat Gavin turned around, aimed back at her gravesite, and blew her a kiss too. Unbeknownst to himself he returned the favor to her and also melted my heart.
It goes to show that the connection with lost loved one’s, even those we’ve never met, have a special place in our life. Even if the connections are never revealed to us they still take place and a special communication is shared. ❤
Today I would like to share a recorded meditation with you. It is from a current unpublished manuscript of mine for a book called Little Gaia and the Secret of the Seed. It is a children’s meditation but is also nicely received by adults of any age. I hope you Enjoy it and thank you for listening.

Many would agree that times have changed. The world is different, ways of life are different, and kids are different too.
In these times it is important to provide ways for our youth to learn how to connect inward. The constant outward connection that our hi-tech society supports can have a dulling effect on any individuals ability to ‘feel’ or ‘hear’ themself. When gratification is only ever a finger push away it may seem like more work to actually turn one’s attention inward and cultivate that inner sense of gratification. However, this is detrimental to the overall balance of any individual. After all where does one’s sense of well-being come from? That’s right, inside! This inner sense that cannot be faked has a direct link to our physical health as well as our mental and emotional stability.
In our society the amount of free time kids have is swallowed up by the lure of television, internet, games, and so on. So we as parents need to take a more strategic route to providing space for our children to explore themselves. Art and writing or building things are all fabulous ways to be creative and connect inward. Give any child, any age, a piece of paper and some crayons and they’ll naturally create through the freedom of imagination and connect to that inner spark of themselves that is uniquely their own. However, why not take it one step further and employ some life skills that will help them to grow and also give them tools to use in the real world when things get tough. This is where helping your child to build their intuition comes into play.
Intuition is defined as the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning. It is that gut instinct sense of knowing if something is right for you or not. It is a sense that has a direct pathway to what is best for you as it connects internally and places less emphasis on the external world. It is a sense that is natural, everyone feels their intuition on some level. But it is also a sense that can be developed. Like a muscle in your body, the more you use it the stronger it gets, and the stronger it gets the more its use will benefit you.
I have listed a few books here that can get you in touch with helping your child (and yourself) to connect inward and cultivate the intuitive sense.

“Grandchildren are a grandparent’s link to the future. Grandparents are the child’s link to the past.” – Author Unknown
This book builds on the special relationship between grandparent and grandchild, at all ages. The grandchild engages the grandparent in a series of conversations which results in a book about the life and times of the grandparent; a book that captures family history and stories only a grandparent can tell. The process further strengthens the grandparent-grandchild bond and produces a family heirloom.

For many of us this is the time of year that our children return to school. We send them out trustingly into the world to have an experience completely their own with excitement for the newness to come and with hope that it will be a good school year.
My six-year-old son starts his first day of first grade today and at a new school. This school is much bigger than his previous one, filled with many new strangers to meet, and lots of uncertainties to figure out. Me as protective mama, understands that I can’t go with him. I can’t hold his hand when he gets nervous, or be there to help him when he doesn’t know what to do. I can’t even walk him to his classroom and make sure he gets their ok. So with full faith that yes, of course everything will be ok, I surrender him and allow him to begin this his experience all his own.
I must admit I am a bit sad and nervous for it to go well. So, I do what I know how to do, I call in his angels and send him with guardians and guides. They will be there for him when he is unsure, when he needs help, or when he is nervous. While it is true that they will always be their for him, supporting him in gentle ways, it is actually universal law that angels cannot interfere unless they are asked to and so of course I ask, and you can too.
Think of someone in your life who you would like to send angelic help to and call in their angels.
“I call on (name of person’s) angels to be with him and to help him in any way that he needs, surrounding him with protective light and supporting him for his highest good.”
“I call on (name of person’s) angels to be with her and to help her in any way that she needs, surrounding her with protective light and supporting her for her highest good.”
This is the influence I have on my kids, Lol.
They are playing, “healing table.”
It was so cute and random and made me smile.
But also it makes me grateful for the natural ability of my children, and any child, to take into their own being that which is good in a household. As parents, we of course make mistakes, but in the end we can place hope in knowing that the good far outweighs the not so good and our children are indeed better off having us as parents.
It also makes me wonder what would the world be like if every household contained and practiced the knowledge of these natural tools of healing. What if healing was as prevalent as applying band-aids? That makes me smile too. 🙂
This information came through in a reading when I was pregnant with my daughter. The messenger source was an angel. I have taken what was told to me and share it here with you. Please share it with others as it is beautiful knowledge of the ability for a Mother to bless her child at birth.
~ A Mother’s Gift, A Mother’s Blessing ~
It was an ancient practice for a mother to bless her child as she gave birth to them. It was a gift that God gave to women to give to their children. It was a gift and a practice that has been forgotten but is now to be remembered.
At the time of birth the child’s soul is separating from the mother’s soul and the baby is coming into its own being, presenting itself to the world as One. This is a sacred time in which the mother is empowered to bestow upon this new life her body gives, her child, a special and powerful blessing.
It is a time of great physical pain for the mother, there is great energy, and great intensity there that can be harnessed and directed towards the benefit of the child. In all the pain the mother is enduring she can focus on all things positive for her child and in the strength behind it she will be giving that energy as a gift to the child.
During the parting of the two at this unique and special timing, the mother can visualize and think of all of the greatest of things that her child will have. The deepest of love, the greatest of success, the clearest sense of self, the truest of integrity, whatever it may be these are the gifts the mother intends her child to carry with them through the endurance of their life. They are being invoked as a blessing and a protection, and it is giving the child strength to go through whatever it has to go through in this lifetime.
It is also at this time that the mother is able to call forth any Angles the child has chosen or any Angels the mother would like working with her child throughout their life. This invokes the Angel and dedicates their positive presence in the life of the child.
Once the child is born, the mother should record for her child all that she blessed them with as they entered into their new and profound space of being. A beautiful child of God living on Earth.
