The Language of a Wish

What is a wish?

A wish is a message from your heart asking for something you need, desire, or hope for.

There is this beautiful language that happens in our beautiful world and it is the language between spirit and our consciousness. It’s not a language you can hear, see, or read, although sometimes that’s how it is conveyed. It is a language that speaks direct to your heart. That knowingness that resides in your being, that lights up when you “just know” that a message or a sign is coming through for you. And the message bearer being someone not of this physical realm such as a loved one who has passed, an angel or a spirit guide, and yes even the big kahuna himself, God, is actually speaking directly to you through your heart and your spirit’s language, beyond words.

And then on the other side of this subtle communication that takes place between us and spirit, is us. We can be the receiver or we can be the sender. A wish is just this. Not much different from a prayer really. Same energy, same intent, this is what my heart desires…

Do you hear me Universe? Do you hear me God? Do you hear me loved one?

Can you feel that? They are right here. Repeat these last words and just feel…

Do you hear me God?

There is that space that is both you and God, that’s the space the communication stirs through.

Be open. Ask. Receive. And surrender when your asks aren’t answered fast enough or at all. Try to stay open in that as well for that’s the hardest, especially when you are struggling.

You are always connected and there are always new messages and signs to be received that communicate you are heard, seen, and acknowledged, and that spirit is right here with you. Love is right here with you. Always.

Don’t forget to be wishful, don’t forget to be hopeful and to speak up to spirit casting your heart’s wishes. In communication there are two streets so look for the signs but also put your heart’s desires out there so that you may be heard and supported in love by hearing the response back to you. It could be a song, a lucky penny found, a cardinal, a rainbow, a feather found in a strange place, a number seen over and over, words from someone’s mouth that just stand out to you. Or it could just be a feeling in that still calm place in your heart. A feeling that says, “Be patient dear child wishes do come true.”

So now if you like…

Make a wish

Like Diamonds

A diamond is created under pressure.

Remember this when life is at its peak of challenge, that you are just creating your diamond through it.

On the way to bursting with your inner light, and crystallizing with clarity, you discover you are stronger than that which pushes hard against you. More beautiful and more unbreakable than at the start.

Internal evolution is the way of the diamond, and pressure, its catalyst.

Just some words that ran through my mind this morning…

In life you are your own worst enemy and your own best friend.

You alone are the one that can do the best for yourself and at the turn of a hand you are the one who can do the worst for yourself.

So where is the knowledge in this, where is the balance?

In loving both equally.

When you stand in the middle and love yourself wholly– there is no wrong, only experience, and in experience we can learn to grow and love ourself more.

The trick to loving the worst of ourself is forgiveness and compassion. The trick to loving the best of ourself is to just be.

It is easy to love that which is good. It is tricky to love that which appears ‘not good.’ But in love itself all categories of good and bad are dissolved.

Acceptance is freedom and love turns the key to a richer life where forgiveness doesn’t have to be earned, it just comes from the openness of loving.

An Experience Through My Eyes and Skin

We all experience life in different ways, it is the most prominent part of our uniqueness. No one else can see through these eyes or feel through this skin, no one else can see through your eyes or feel through your skin. I had a unique experience that I wanted to share, because even though we are unique in our experiences, the threads that connect us and the fibers that make up life are really all the same. And isn’t it true that sometimes seeing others through our own eyes helps us to see our self, helps us to feel more connected and secure in the fabric that is life… helps us to realize we are truly not alone in our seemingly solitaire experience through eyes and skin.

I had a session last week with a fellow healer and during our session what bubbled up to the surface was that I was feeling stifled. Stifled in different areas of life and in expressing my own unique voice. As I laid there on the healing table talking about where I was emotionally and releasing being stuck, I started to be able to see and feel that my feet were submerged in thick, brown mud. I really was stuck and it was hard to move. I kept repeating, “I release being stuck,” and a huge flood of water began to run through the lower half of my body washing away the sticky mud and cleansing my energy. In my vision, and in my life too, I had been focused down, as if only seeing where my feet were stuck in the mud, but as I shifted my line of sight off of where I was stuck I noticed what lay above me—the wide open free sky. It was beautiful, blue and clear, and endless. I was in complete awe of its majestic beauty and I felt so small, that it made me smile. Wow.Ainto the great wide open

Close your eyes right now and imagine that you are looking up at the beautiful cIear blue sky… doesn’t that just lift your heart a little.

Where my mind took me next was into acute awareness that my stuck-ness was partly based on where I had been focusing. That the reason I was stuck was because of me! I was making myself stuck by bringing my focus in life down. Yeah, so what that certain areas in my life are a bit slow and murky, look at what else is right before me… the sky as the limit. It was my own mental confine that was really making me stuck and not necessarily the predicament I was in. Through attention energy builds up in our mind around the thoughts we think continually this makes that energy bigger and can make those problems seem bigger, and perhaps even seem like they deserve more of our time… but the truth is, the world is too large, you are too large, to allow what small piece of life that isn’t working so much attention, it steals from you. And in this case I had been stealing from myself.

After that flash of insight I could feel my spiritual guides and angels below my feet clearing out the rest of that stuck energy that was binding me down. I could feel them all around me, their love, help and support and I asked them, “Please keep helping me.” Life feels so much easier with help. In that instant I was completely free to step out of the mud and so I did. And as I did I became a little girl again running across the sod field behind the house I grew up in, running and playing. The sun was brilliant and shining, kissing my crown and my face as I flew free over the earth, blowing dandelion fluff, and spinning a rainbow colored pinwheel. Bearing a heart of lightness, of freedom, and play, I could hear these words in my mind, “I am a bird, I was never meant to touch down too long on the earth.” And then my guides showed me an image of an old toy from childhood called a view finder- where you click a lever and the scene you are viewing through changes. I heard, “It is just my turn.” And then the lever clicked to illustrate when my turn is done being viewed through it is someone else’s turn until mine comes back around. At that point I could feel myself in a circle of beings, as part of the circle. I could see hands holding my hands and they stretched on to other peoples’ hands on either side of me. Isn’t that life, and family? Each hand stretched between those that have come before us and those that come beyond, making a continual circle of life. If our human family is one circle of “taking turns” then they were showing me a secondary circle of taking turns, with those who are part of what I call my spiritual team. I have had this same feeling many times before, and here it was coming up again and this time exceptionally clear… “Your life is not a solitary effort it is a group effort, just as you are walking and breathing and living on this earth, we too are walking and breathing with you, your life is our effort too. Together we each have a piece to play. Together we each have a turn to take.”

So there it was, while I had been feeling stuck and letting it bring me down, my team was behind the scenes so willing and able to help move things around and to help me feel lighter and freer and more connected to my truth~ that I just have to be me. That’s everyone’s unique truth, be you. But it doesn’t have to be solely your job to live your life, learn how to ask for help from your team and then step down and let them take their turn while you focus on lighter brighter places of your beingness. Life is a unique effort but through the threads that connect us and the fibers that make up life, is woven the help of your team. You have no idea the love put into your life from those who surround you that you cannot see, as you are entrusted to craft your life through eyes and skin, they are entrusted to be of support to you. Allow them to take a turn for you in your life by simply saying, “Team help me now.”

An Unintentional Guru

I read these words 5 days before I meet Kevin Farrow founder of the modern healing modality AcuEnergetics®. I am to study under him for a month while he is in the United States from Australia.

“A great Yogi is anyone who has achieved the permanent state of enlightened bliss. A Guru is a great Yogi who can actually pass that state on to others… What passes from the master into the disciple is something called mantravirya: “The potency of the enlightened consciousness.” You come to your Guru, then, not only to receive lessons, as from any teacher, but to actually receive the Guru’s state of grace.” ~ Elizabeth Gilbert

Hmm, could it be I unintentionally have a Guru?

All I know is I am ready. Ready for his knowledge and wisdom, and his devices of healing to be imparted on me. I am ready for my life to change through him and to walk the path of being able to change the life of others through me.

Divine timing could not be sweeter.

Thank you God.

I always enjoy reading what everyone else says about the new year. This year a lot of people note that the year 2015 vibrates as an 8 (2+0+1+5=8). 8 brings in the energy of abundance and prosperity. Yay!

For this year I get the feeling that there is a linking of where we were 2 years ago at the end of 2012 and where we are picking up now. Almost like a gap of time has gone by allowing for catch-up and now this year we are finally getting into position of where we are really supposed to be. And not just in our external life but mentally as well. Maybe this resonates with you too that the last two years have felt like you were trying to catch up with life, trying to get to where you needed to be to find your proper positioning. And now this year it feels like the reverse is true and that life is catching up with you, that things are aligning on the outside to match your proper positioning of where you need to be. Sometime this year the two will sync, you and life, and a new harmony in your state of being will be accomplished.

I also want to note that the word RESPONSIBILITY comes up strongly. This just feels like we each are wholly responsible for our self and our life. So in order to reach that harmony you cannot be a bystander. You must be active and adopt that inner sense of responsibility for your personal state of being. Carrying through with the actions that you know are right for you will not only help to connect you even deeper with who you are but will help you to live the life you are meant to.

So that’s my two cents 😉 Do you have any hunches for 2015?

Also, here is an article that I found interesting and wanted to share as well:

Ok, I think I get it!

Sometimes I try too hard. Apparently that can actually block what it is that I’m trying to achieve. Bummer right!?

It’s like that scene from the Tommy Boy movie where Chris Farley pets the roll (see clip below).

In bringing awareness to my glitches today I had an amazing healing session and this is the phrase that I am left with…

dove release

I don’t have to control how things happen

I only need to trust that all will work out.

Feeling freer and lighter and happier right now 🙂

And letting go of being in control of how things happen and not doing this again…

Opportunities to Learn and Grow

Never stop learning who you are! Self-discovery leads to self-mastery. This is not always easy, there can be bumps and bruises along the way, but never doubt that you are 110% worth it! Within each of us is that spark of potential to BELIEVE that we are whole, that we are resourceful, and that we are creative. We are ALL already these things, they exist within us simply because we exist and yet we don’t believe in it. This is why the spark of potential lies within believing in yourself. So feel free to explore who you are and believe that you are so much more than what you currently think or feel. Trust me, you have gifts and capabilities that you couldn’t possibly imagine and these too are things that already exist within you.

Often times we need experience to connect us to that greater potential held within us, that greater truth. I want to share an opportunity with you that is actually an online free webinar taking place tomorrow, May, 28th. It is through the Akashic Records Institute. The woman running the program is just lovely. I would like to encourage you to listen to the free webinar and see what may speak to you about what she has to share. It does not matter if you have any interest in taking a course through her this free webinar alone might be just the experience you need to get you started on the path of self-discovery. And it’s free so there is nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Check it out here:

FREE Webinar Wednesday May 28th!

She is also offering a Level 1 Akashic Records class: Unleash your Gifts, Live your Purpose- Discover how to align with your Akashic Records. And that begins June 3rd. More details here: http://www.akashicrecordsinstitute.com/akashic-records-training/

My Awakening Experience and Moving Forward…

Today’s post is in participation of  a writing challenge hosted by the blog Me My Magnificent Self (http://memymagnificentself.wordpress.com/2013/12/17/challenge-2014-my-awakening-experience-and-moving-forward/ ).

It will also be a chapter in an upcoming free e-book! I hope you enjoy my piece.

Wake up and Smile at Life

It was late November and I was taking a class on Energy Medicine. As part of the class we were guided through an Inner Smile Meditation. I had never practiced this meditation before but was open to the experience. The instructor gently led us through the first step: thinking of something that makes us smile. It could be anything as long as it induced a genuine smile to our face. Instantly I thought of my children and their bright and smiling faces appeared in my mind. It was easy to smile back at them and to feel my heart lighten with joy. The next step was to then drop the smile triggering thought and to just feel. And I mean literally just feel. To shift our attention to our body and really take notice of what our body felt like in that state of inner smiling. It felt great! And for a short blip of time my mind was actually silent because my attention was not in my mind but in my body. The instructor continued to lead us through the meditation guiding us to think of the trigger when our smile had faded and to repeat the process over and over for 10 minutes. I found the meditation to be easy enough to remember and enjoyable so I took his suggested challenge of making it a daily practice.

On day two I found myself at home setting a timer and sitting in the rocking chair in our family sunroom. I began with the same smile triggering thought of my children and continued the repetitive cycle going from thought to smile to feeling and back again for 10 minutes. On day three I started to venture out a little and now was switching up my triggering thoughts to being able to smile at the thought of other people and to memories as well. Each time my smile would fade it became easier to think of a new trigger that genuinely elicited the response of smiling brightly to myself. I realized that a smile is not just an emotional response but it is a gateway to the opening of the heart to experience more joy and presence in one’s life. Spending a simple 10 minutes a day focusing on smiling and feeling my inner smile was balancing me out to be more present in other parts of the day. I wasn’t only feeling its benefit I was living it.

I continued on through day four and five but it wasn’t until day six that I had a spontaneous shift in opening my heart to the simple and the mundane as being worthy smile triggers. As I sat in the rocking chair in the sunroom I prepared to quiet my mind and illicit a trigger thought only this time as I became present in the moment and aware of my surroundings I heard a noise in the background. It was the noise of water running. In fact it was water running into my washing machine. Only moments before I had loaded it mindlessly thinking of something else as I shoved the clothes in, added the detergent, turned and pulled the knob, and closed the lid. Just going through the motions and then walking away ironically to go and be present in meditation. So here I sit having this beautiful and rewarding time to myself as my lovely and tireless washing machine works away for me. The thought made me smile. And in that moment I felt such genuine joy and appreciation for my washing machine. I even giggled out loud a little bit in amusement thinking, “Really, is this really happening? I’m smiling because of my washing machine.” But as I felt into the moment it was undeniably true. The thought of my washing machine working was indeed raising a sense of joy within me and causing me to smile. In moments like this life really is so simple and so beautiful.

I continued on and in the next moment as my smile faded I needed another trigger. This time I focused on feeling the sunshine on my face. A smile came easily to my lips. What a beautiful and simple feeling I thought…sunshine.  And then I dropped the thought and just felt my body. My heart felt so open and so happy as I just breathed and sat there. I continued on for the remainder of the 10 minutes focusing on the simple and the mundane, the blue sky, the chair I sat in, and my house in general. All of these thoughts were able to transcend to feelings of love, joy, and appreciation. No doubt my heart felt full upon completing the 10 minutes that day because I had consciously shifted to being ‘awake’ in viewing the beauty of the world that I was immersed in. It wasn’t the thought of the people who weren’t there, or the memories that had already happened, or even the dreams for the future. It was just me being in the space that I was in. In the space of beautiful, simple, and overflowing life.

When we stop from the normal rush of the day and practice presence, like in the Inner Smile Meditation, we open to allowing a new state of being in little by little. This is true because awakening, in truth, is not a solitary occurrence but it is an unfolding that deepens over time. It is cyclical in nature in that an opening of consciousness occurs and then each time we come around to that same opening we are able to make it a little bigger and a little bigger letting more awareness in. You see it is not the body that limits us as human beings it is the mind. And even though the inner smile first teaches you to use your mind to feel your body and open your heart it is actually training you to eventually feel that state of joy without any thought needed. It is actually priming you for a more transcendental relationship of using your heart to open your mind. In the shifting of human consciousness it is the heart that will open the mind as we move from being mind-centered beings to becoming heart-centered beings. The Inner Smile Meditation is a great place to begin deepening your own unfolding.  Through it you too will connect with the potential for joy held in every moment, by smiling at life.
