Children are given many opportunities in life to take care of their bodies. They are taught to brush their teeth EVERY day. They are taught to eat healthy food. They are taught to get exercise.
Children are also given many ways to take care of their intellect. They are taught to read and to write. They are taught math and science. They are taught to go to school EVERY day, and not just when they feel like going.
Children are not often given ways to take care of their minds such as regulating emotions and acquiring executive function skills like the ability to stop and delay gratification.
Here are three mind care activities for children to help them take care of their minds EVERY day.
