Do you see me?

3324
Sometimes what a child’s soul says to their parent:

“I see you, do you see me?”

Take time to be still and to watch your children free from judgment, criticism, or the need to correct.

Take time to see them for who they are.

Perfect and imperfect. Beautiful and learning, just like you.

Being a parent is a challenge for a reason. Children are a blessing and come with much to teach us. They come with just the right combination of knowing how to melt our hearts and also what buttons to push so that we may grow into better human beings. They provide us with plenty of opportunities to practice love, kindness, patience, and compassion. And in return they give us their open mind and open heart to make our impression on. It can be tough being a parent, but remember it can be tough being a kid sometimes too.

In your journey as a parent keep in mind that at any time you can ask God to help you in your parenting. Sometimes this is the strength we need to know we are not alone.

God please help me to be a good parent and to honor who my children are as they grow wholly into themselves.

Thank you God for my beloved children.

Amen.

Prayer is Communication

“If you want to know God, you must be like the naughty baby who cries till the mother comes.”
~ Paramahansa Yogananda

If there is something that you are wishing for pray for it. Then pray again, and again, and again. Pray it until it is like breath in your consciousness and then it can move forward as life.

Praying is simply communicating with God – expressing your thanks and asking for divine help. It took me 30 years to figure out what prayer was to me and when I finally got it I understood that prayer is not a religious avenue it is a spiritually universal one. Quite simply it is talking to God sharing with him your inner most thoughts and desires. After all how can anyone know what you truly want unless you communicate it? The first step is being clear and honest with yourself and then you may release it to the Universe through prayer. In doing so a sacred little landing spot is created, housed within your very being so that the echo of your prayer in an answer can bounce back to you and be realized.

When life gets confusing call in your higher self

Sometimes life is confusing. Sometimes you feel like you don’t know what to do or which direction to go. That is when it can be helpful to call in your higher self to do some work for you.

This is a little exercise that will help you attune with your higher self and set the intention for the law of attraction to deliver the highest vibration of possibilities into your life.

Blessings,

Korinn_logo_orangegradient

Take 3 deep breaths.

Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…

Now with your pointer finger held above the top of your head swirl your crown chakra energy in a clockwise direction and say, “white light clear.”

When you feel like you are done pull your crown chakra energy up to the Heavens by simply lifting your hand and your pointer finger up and away from the top of your head until it is pointing upwards. As you do this say, “white light open.”

Visualize this beam of white light traveling up so high that you can see it connect into the bright white glowing belly of God.

Now, also visualize this beam of white light travel down through your body and anchor you peacefully into the earth.

Next you can say, “I call on my higher self to be one with me.” Take a moment here to breathe and let your energy integrate.

When you feel ready affirm, “My higher self is present and attracts everything that comes to me through my highest vibration.” Allow yourself to feel and see the bubble of white light that fully surrounds you.

In closing feel free to close your eyes and settle into this space of divine vibration where you have called on your higher self to magnetize and attract for you.

And be thankful. “Thank you God.”

Amen.

Invoke a Prayer for your Child

I wrote an invocation and prayer for Mother Mary to watch over my children. I am not Christian, or even religious for that matter, but I believe that any higher level spiritual being is accessible to all. We only have to call on them if we would like help, protection, or comfort. They don’t care about the religious boundaries so why should we.

Aside from Mother Mary other Ascended Masters that I tend to call on are Ganesh, Kali, and Quan Yin. It doesn’t matter which religion they are from I have a resonancy with each of them individually. There is something that draws me to call on them and perhaps something that draws them to work with me. And it is really as simple as just saying “I like them,” much like I like chocolate ice cream and choose that almost always over vanilla. These beings are my flavor, my preference, and you too may find you also like a little flavor of variety in working with spiritual masters from all walks of life. Explore by Googling “Ascended Masters” and see which one’s you are drawn to meet and to work with.

Here is my Mother Mary invocation:

English: Mother Mary with the Holy Child Jesus...

Mother Mary,

Please be with my children and bless them.

Surround them with your love and protection and help to guide them in the right way so that they are able to follow their own divine light and be on the path for their highest good.

Amen

A Thanks-giving to our Ancestors

Thanksgiving is a very special American holiday that I celebrate every year. This Thanksgiving I am inspired to reflect on years gone by and especially on those who have come before us in our families. Those who bear the same names as we do and the same blood, our ancestors.

This remembrance is for those in our families who dared enough to dream, who were brave enough to pack up and move, or for those who didn’t have a choice – both plunging into the great unknown and for what? For hope of a better life for themself and for the generations to come. WE were hope and love in their hearts long before they ever knew us and on this Thanksgiving day I ask that you hold gratitude and love in your heart for them.

A Prayer for our Ancestors

(Read it as if it is from you to them, speak to them, send your love and appreciation. This is real; if you want it to be.)

To all of my ancestors:

May peace be with you and take you, wherever you are, to a place where you will know my love and gratitude for you and for all that you have done for our family. May you be swept up now and forever and taken to a place of grace and to a place where you will see the value of what you had to overcome in me. I am grateful for you for having paved the way for our family so that I may walk a little easier today. Today I carry you as I walk with thanks in my heart. I carry you All with pride. Pride for where I came from and for who I am.

To the reader: If you feel moved to do so please share the descent of your ancestors here to honor and acknowledge them. Here, I will start…

My name is Korinn Scepka Hawkins. My ancestors on my Mother’s side are the Kriegers and the Slankers of German, English, Scottish, Irish, and Canadian descent. My ancestors on my Father’s side are the Scepkas and the Frolkas of Czechoslovakian descent, specifically from what is considered modern-day Slovakia. I am married into and have given birth to two children whose ancestors are the Hawkins and Gavins of Irish descent and the Nelsons and Lowensteins. I honor and acknowledge you all. Thank you! Peace.

How to Charge your Water

The power of intention is so important! As physical beings sometimes it is hard to grasp just how important intentions are because we cannot see, touch, taste, hear, or smell them but nevertheless they are real and they are powerful.

One of my favorite things is when scientific truth crosses over and proves spiritual truth. An intention related example is the placebo effect. It points to the, “if you believe it you will be it,” power of intention. However, the one that totally blows my mind is Dr. Emoto and his findings regarding the power of intention and water. Through his studies he found that the quality of energy intended for water had a definite effect on how it crystallized in relation to if it was a good intention or a bad intention. Just watch…

This video makes me tear up it is so beautiful!

It is stated in the publisher’s summary for his book The Hidden Messages in Water that, “Emoto believes that since people are 70 percent water, and the earth’s surface is 70 percent water, we can heal our planet and ourselves by consciously expressing love and goodwill.”

Seriously, this is powerful stuff so what I would like to share with you is how to clear and charge your water because as science supports- it does make a difference. You can do this for your kids, your pets, or anyone else as well as yourself. It’s so quick and easy.

1) Get a glass of water or a container of water.

2) Hold it in your hands.

3) Focus your intention on it, look at it, and mentally say, “white light clear.” You can even visualize white light coming down into your water.

4) Keep your attention focused on the water and mentally say, “white light charge.” (note: you may notice energy pulsing or moving through your hands).

5) Your water is clear and charged and ready to enjoy.

So really all it takes is a little bit of time and some good intention but if you’d like to add a little extra intention to your water feel free to do so by visualizing a word of your choice in your water such as love, or health, or whatever (words are vibrations too, just like emotions, that’s why Dr. Emoto’s experiments had such an effect) .

Shared Prayer

This is a prayer I wrote years ago. I have had it taped to the inside of my bathroom cabinet since 2009 and have refered to it many, many times.

Here is the shared prayer coming at you

Dear God, Please be with me today and all days, giving me guidance where I need it and when I ask for it. Please bless any Divine communication to be clear, specific, and for the highest good of myself and all those involved. Only give me information that I can handle and that I will know what to do with. Please bless myself and my family (names here) so that we are all on our path to fulfilling our own life’s purpose and so that we are each shielded from that which does not serve our highest good. Please help us to release any fears that we may have so that we can function at our highest potential and be aware of the highest good in all people and situations. Thank you for your constant loving, peaceful presence. We love you endlessly. Amen. Love Realized.

A Moment’s Snapshot of a Family Earth Blessing

I open the garage door and the smell of fresh rain floods in. There’s a mix of dead leaves to its scent. I inhale it deeply, feeling my body relax as I take a moment to just smell the air. It is a beautiful earthy smell and a reminder of why fall is such a heartwarmingly cozy time of year. Sad to see summer go, but as I step out of my garage into the light of the overcast sky and a crisp breeze chills through my damp hair, I feel a welcoming for the fall and for what it might bring, as seasonally the old will fall away.

I watch my daughter, who will turn two in a month, trail off out into the driveway. She stops at the edge of the yard and bends down to examine something in the grass. I imagine she has no preference yet for the time of year. She greets each day the same with an eagerness to explore, to play, to learn, and live. She knows the key to happiness in life and it is nothing she has been taught. It is a basic inner stirring to do the things that she wishes to do. To follow the trails of possibility and go to these places that call to her. To be free in her will and swept up in the moment. I look at her and see that yes, that girl has it all. I am happy to give what freedoms I can to her and also eager myself to watch, take note, and perhaps learn a thing or two about being in the moment.

She follows me to the front of our house where we are going to plant a white dragon flower. I had ordered it from a catalog this past spring and it arrived at our house yesterday packaged in a cardboard box and a redi-plant pot. She watches me as I pull up the overgrown weeds of my neglected flower bed. Next year I will do better I tell myself. Soon she is down there with me pulling up weeds and tearing off leaves from plants asking, “S’one?” and handing them to me, “Here Mama.” We are clearing a spot to plant the dragon flower next to our shepherd’s hook where the wind chime hangs. The chime’s dangling weighted cord seems to have gotten tangled up around a weed. I untangle it and the sound instantly draws my daughter’s attention. She looks at it, watching intently as the dangly cord blows in every direction of the wind. It teases her to catch it but instead she reaches up and bats at the chimes themselves, smiling with joy at the noise she can make. I take note here: there’s always joy in discovering new things that we are capable of doing.

As I dig a shallow hole for the little potted plant she leans over top of where I dig watching closely to see what I am doing. “Dig!” she exclaims. When I am done I hand her the shovel so she may try for herself. She makes a quick decision of what to do with the shovel and starts filling the hole back in. I tell her, “No, we have to take the dirt out.” She tries my suggestion but then reverts back to filling. I don’t intervene this time and just let her do her own work. Eventually her attention skips a beat to look up at the singing wind chime and identify it as, “song.” “Mama’s turn.” she says next handing me the shovel. This moment is complete for her as she wanders off briefly, her own convictions leading the way.

I grab the plant but then remember that there is something else I wanted to place in the earth before the dragon flower. The day before I had pulled a stray piece of hair from my shirt. A normal enough occurrence but something inside of me spoke up and suggested that I save it. I know, kinda weird, but as a person that follows her intuition I often give thought to those strange ideas that seem to be emphasized by overshadowing. There was definitely a part of the day where I thought that’s really kind of gross, saving hair!? And then later I noticed a clump of hair on my daughter’s shoulder that she must have pulled out along with the barrette I couldn’t get her to keep in. Ok, ok, I’ll save it, I thought to myself agreeing to this strange inkling. I put the hairs into a plastic baggie and by the end of the day it contained both hair and nails and from every member of my family and I knew now that when I planted that dragon flower I would also be planting these little bits of us as a way to initiate a blessing for our family.

Now here I am ready to do this so I lean in and place my hands around the hole, palms down. My daughter also leans in and mimics me keeping her hands there for only but a moment. I ask aloud, “God please bless this Earth that we walk on. Help it to provide everything that we need both physically and spiritually.” I drop in the contents of the bag watching as they land below and ask, “Earth please bless my family, provide for us all that we need and with your love, safety, and protection we ask you to watch over the bodies from which these bits I offer you have came. Thank you God. Thank you Earth. Amen. Love realized.” As I end the prayer for a blessing I again place my hands up against the Earth and send heart energy down into her. From my heart to hers.

Once the dragon flower has been planted into the ground I dump the last little bit of dirt and my daughter decides, “All done.” I sprinkle a little water over the earth wondering briefly what it will look like next year when it flowers. Then we both move on to the next moment of the day leaving the blessing and the plant to take growth and maintain on its own.
